II. Product Overview: Supported by API 7K Standard, Adapting to Full-Scenario Rotary Drilling Needs in Oilfields

API 7K rotary drilling hose is a high-pressure flexible transmission hose specially developed and produced for oilfield rotary drilling operations, also known as API 7K drilling rotary hose and high-pressure mud rotary hose. It strictly complies with the API 7K international oilfield industry standard (including API Spec. 7K FSL 1 and FSL 2 certification requirements) and is consistent with relevant API 16C specifications, serving as a special core component for oilfield drilling, workover and well control operations. The core function of the hose is to realize the flexible transmission of high-pressure mud, drilling fluid, high-pressure water and other media, mainly used to connect the kelly with the swivel, and the mud pump with the standpipe. It adapts to the high-frequency rotation operation of the kelly during drilling, buffers pressure fluctuations, and ensures stable medium transmission. Its key parameters fully meet the needs of oilfield drilling, with a working pressure range of 2000-15000PSI, an inner diameter of 2-6 inches, a working temperature range of -40℃ to 121℃ (some low-temperature specifications can withstand -50℃), and a burst pressure of not less than 3 times the working pressure, far exceeding the safety standards of conventional oilfield hoses. With multiple advantages such as mud resistance, oil resistance, acid and alkali resistance, corrosion resistance and anti-rotation fatigue, the hose can be widely used in various oilfield rotary drilling scenarios such as onshore oilfields, desert oilfields, offshore drilling platforms, shale gas drilling and tight oil drilling, adapting to different types of drilling equipment, and can be customized according to actual working conditions with traceable quality, fully complying with the safety management requirements of oilfield drilling.

III. Structural Characteristics: Multi-Layer Composite Reinforcement, Balancing Flexible Rotation, Durability and Safety

The structural design of API 7K rotary drilling hose fully combines the core needs of oilfield rotary drilling, such as high-frequency rotation, high-pressure transmission and harsh environment. It adopts a multi-layer composite reinforcement structure, with each layer having a clear division of labor and cooperative protection, which not only ensures flexible rotation performance, but also greatly improves overall durability and safety. Every structural detail strictly complies with the API 7K standard. As the core layer in contact with the medium, the inner tube is made of HNBR (hydrogenated nitrile rubber) or UPE (ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene) special synthetic rubber, processed by a special vulcanization process, with excellent resistance to drilling mud erosion, high pressure, wear and scouring. It can withstand the erosion of high-pressure drilling mud, drilling fluid and various oilfield transmission media for a long time without aging, cracking or leakage, eliminating drilling safety hazards caused by medium leakage from the source. As the core force-bearing structure of the hose, the reinforcement layer adopts a 4-6 layer high-strength super flexible galvanized steel wire spiral alternating winding process. The steel wire is made of high-toughness and high-strength material with uniform winding density and consistent tension. After strict tension testing, it can not only bear the high pressure of 2000-15000PSI, but also adapt to the high-frequency rotation condition of dozens of revolutions per minute during drilling, with excellent pulse resistance and anti-rotation fatigue performance. It can effectively buffer the pressure fluctuation caused by high-pressure mud transmission, avoid fatigue damage of the hose due to long-term rotation and pressure impact, and extend the service life of the hose. The outer cover is made of special synthetic rubber with wear resistance, weather resistance, ozone resistance, anti-static and flame retardant properties, added with anti-aging and anti-salt spray additives, which can effectively resist mechanical friction, rock impact and dust erosion at oilfield drilling sites, and adapt to the severe high and low temperature changes in onshore oilfields and high humidity and salt spray erosion in offshore oilfields, protecting the inner structure from damage. In addition, the outer cover has good flexibility and anti-torsion performance, which is convenient for flexible swing of the kelly during drilling, does not affect the drilling accuracy, and meets the anti-static and flame-retardant safety requirements of oilfield drilling, eliminating safety hazards such as static accumulation and fire. The joints are made of special carbon steel or stainless steel for oilfields, treated with anti-corrosion, wear resistance and high temperature resistance, and adopt an integrated pressing process with the hose main body, with firm connection and reliable sealing. The joint specifications comply with the API 7K standard, which can be directly adapted to the connection needs of various oilfield drilling equipment, eliminating the risk of joint falling off and leakage under high-pressure conditions, and further improving the overall safety performance of the hose.

IV. Operating Conditions: Adapting to Various Oilfield Rotary Drilling, Coping with Complex and Harsh Scenarios

With excellent structural performance and wide adaptability, API 7K rotary drilling hose is mainly suitable for various onshore and offshore oilfield rotary drilling operation scenarios, and can also be used for oilfield workover and well control emergency operations. It can calmly cope with complex and harsh working conditions in different scenarios, providing stable and reliable flexible transmission guarantee for oilfield drilling operations. In onshore oilfield rotary drilling scenarios, whether it is conventional oil and gas drilling in various terrains such as plains, deserts and gobi, or drilling operations for special oil and gas resources such as shale gas and tight oil, this hose can be perfectly adapted. It connects the kelly and the swivel to realize stable transmission of high-pressure mud, and can withstand working conditions such as high and low temperature fluctuations, dust erosion and mechanical collision in onshore oilfields. Even in extreme environments such as high temperature in deserts and low temperature in gobi, it can maintain stable transmission performance without aging or damage, ensuring continuous drilling operations. On offshore oilfield drilling platforms, the hose can withstand harsh environments such as high marine humidity, salt spray erosion and mechanical shaking caused by wind and waves, adapt to the high-frequency rotation and high-pressure transmission needs of offshore kelly rotary drilling, and is used for flexible connection between the mud pump and the standpipe, and between the kelly and the swivel, ensuring stable transmission of high-pressure mud under bumpy and rotating conditions without leakage, adapting to various offshore drilling scenarios such as shallow sea and deep sea, and providing strong support for the safe development of offshore drilling operations. In addition, the hose can also be used for oilfield workover operations, adapting to the high-pressure mud transmission and low-frequency rotation needs during workover. It can be customized into full specifications of 2-6 inches according to actual needs such as drilling equipment model, working pressure and transmission medium, and the length can be flexibly adjusted, from several meters to dozens of meters. Each API 7K rotary drilling hose has passed strict factory tests, including high-pressure test, rotation fatigue test, leakage test and mud erosion resistance test, ensuring that each product meets the requirements of API 7K standard with stable and reliable quality, which can effectively cope with various complex working conditions of oilfield rotary drilling and become the preferred flexible transmission equipment in the field of oilfield drilling.
